ΦΛΑVΙΟΠΟΛЄΙΤWΝ ЄΤΟVC ZΙ Draped busts of the Dioskouroi facing one another, each wearing laureate pileus surmounted by star. RPC II 1757. SNG Paris 2171. Beautiful green patina. Nearly extremely fine.

Flaviopolis was founded by Vespasian in 72/73 as an inland city in Cilicia. The new settlement bore the nomen gentile of the ruling dynasty
